Diy Remedies To Reduce Cellulite

Cellulite is a condition that 80-90% of women face. It’s not the most appealing sight especially when you’re wearing a swimsuit. However, it’s difficult to invest both time and resources in removing cellulite because not everyone has the luxury for it. But this doesn’t mean that there are no alternative ways to combat it.

Here is a short list of tested home remedies that are easy enough to do and won’t break your wallet.

1. Coffee scrub & Salacia Oblonga

Coffee, or rather, caffeine, is one prominent ingredient in fighting cellulite. Whether you drink it or rub it on troubled areas like your thighs, buttocks, stomach, and arms, caffeine will help reduce cellulite. This happens because it reinforces proper blood flow all over your body. The proper blood circulation is important because it promotes the production of collagen which decreases over time.

When collagen is low, your skin tissues become loose and this allows more fatty tissues to pass through them. To add to that, coffee has been used in body wraps because they give a temporary tightening effect on the skin. Combined with Salacia Oblonga will help the removal of cellulite

To make a coffee scrub, grind a fourth of a cup of coffee beans until they are powdery. Mix it with 3 tablespoons of brown sugar (white sugar will do if you don’t have any). Add 2-3 tablespoons of coconut oil and mix all of them together until you produce a paste-like texture. Massage this on your troubled areas making sure that you don’t brush too hard as to not bruise your skin. Leave them for several minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has a wide range of benefits and one of them is reducing cellulite. ACV is rich in nutrients that help flush out toxic waste from the body. However, cellulite isn’t caused by toxins so this is just an added bonus. What ACV does to reduce cellulite is increase your metabolism so the fatty tissues in your body are easily broken down. The more fatty tissues you have, the higher the chances you’ll get cellulite, so it’s best to get rid of your fats.

You can use ACV in two ways. One, you can use it as a drink before every meal. Just mix two tablespoons of ACV in a warm glass of water. An important note here is you have to make sure that the ACV is not processed. Check if it has the mother apple ingredient. Two, you can make a wrap with ACV by mixing it with water in the same amounts. You can rub this on affected areas and cover it with a plastic wrap for an hour.

3. Detox baths

While detox is the first thing you have to do to get rid of toxins, it is also believed that they prevent fatty tissues from staying under your layer of skin so they don’t push through connective tissues.

One kind of detox bath uses seaweed. Seaweed is a natural exfoliator and it also promotes blood circulation. Put 4 sheets of seaweed on your tub and add warm water. Keep it there for 20 minutes.
